A Zooventure!

We had decided at work that if the agents reached a certain goal we would go as a department to the Hogle Zoo. Well we reached it and of course it was all about the pictures and kids for me there. Oh and a few animals too haha.

A Wedding, family, happy kind of time

This past weekend my cousin TJ married his best friend Sarah and it was so much fun to see them so happy and to see all my family as well. It's great to be able to see how everyone has grown and what's going on in their lives. I love facebook but nothing can replace actually having everyone together. I wasn't going to take many pictures because this was more about just having fun and family but I just couldn't help  myself at the reception and got a little picture happy. I also tried to grab a few of TJ and Sarah right after they got married but so many people were around! It was fun. I'll post some of my favorites below.

A 50th Sampling

I had a lot of fun taking pictures for Jeremy's family for his Grandparents 50th Anniversary. I'm working on pictures still but here's a few of some of the fun shots I was able to to get. I'm excited to get them all done! Below is a shot of the happy couple. I think it's so amazing that they've been able to stick together and are still so in love with each other after all this time. Congrats to them!

What's in a name...

Well I'm finally starting to share my pictures with more and more people and the good news is, the like them! the bad news, they want me to take pictures of them. Haha I know that's not real bad news but I'm always a GIANT bundle of nerves when I'm taking pictures for people because I just want everything to come out looking great. I have been on a lot of photography websites lately getting some inspiration and just admiring the different techniques and locations people have done. One thing I've really noticed a lot is that they all have fun names for their business. Since I'm starting to do more pictures for people I think it's high time I came up with a name for myself too. Any suggestions?
The Anniversary shoot was a lot of fun and held a lot of new experiences for me. I'm working on those pictures now and should have a few up to show by the mid week. I didn't get any of the parade but I did manage to get a nice and pretty sunburn. Ouch! But I'm not complaining. It's better than all the crazy rain we've had lately.

A James Day at the Lake

James and I decided to go take some pictures at the Salt Lake last night. Unfortunately by the time we figured out how to get there (I'm HORRID with directions) the sun was going down but we had some fun taking some water splash pictures.

I have a few of the landscape that I took as well that I'll post in a bit. I'm excited for the next few weeks because I'll be taking a lot of pictures for some awesome events. I'm taking pictures at a 50th Wedding Anniversary party, There's a parade coming into town next week I think and then my cousin and my brother are both getting married soon. How exciting! I'm not the main photographer for those weddings but you know me, I can't help being a little shutter bug haha. 

Color change

Wow I really need to keep up with updating more often. I haven't been able to take many pictures lately because it's been so dark and cloudy. Luckily these past few days the sun has come out so hopefully the weather can finally stay nice. The newest thing that's changed for me is my hair color! I'm loving this whole blonde thing. It's hard to keep up with but I'm still a fan. I might be going back to Texas in a few weeks and it'll be fun for everyone to see me with a new look. They're used to black, brown and my many attempts at dark red. I'm going to try and stay this color till at least the middle of August. My brother gets married on August 20th and I'm not sure if I want to stay with the blonde hair for the pictures or go back to my natural dark color. We shall see I guess.
